Event Overview
The Black Student Success Centre (BSSC) invites you to our signature Black Applicant Meet & Greet this spring during McMaster’s annual May @ Mac Open House! This premier event connects future Black-identifying students with McMaster’s vibrant Black community of faculty, staff, and current students. Whether you’ve received an offer, are considering applying, or simply want to explore what McMaster has to offer Black students, this event provides an authentic glimpse into the Black student experience at Mac.
Event Purpose
This event creates a welcoming space for Black students and their support networks to explore McMaster University with a focus on the Black student experience. We aim to provide prospective students with genuine connections, honest insights, and a clear understanding of the resources and community available to them before they make their university decision.
Event Highlights
- Interactive Student Panel featuring current Black undergraduate students sharing their authentic McMaster experiences
- Resource Exhibition highlighting BSSC programs, services, and initiatives that support Black student success
- Faculty, Staff & Student Networking Opportunity within McMaster’s Black community with representatives from all faculties available to answer program-specific questions
- Q&A Sessions addressing academic, social, and cultural aspects of university life
