Heads up! @macengyouth and @nsbemac are holding an in-person NSBEMac Adventures event in BSSC November 24th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
The annual NSBEMac Adventures event is designed to reduce barriers to STEM for Black Youth. With our partners NSBEMac (National Society of Black Engineers, McMaster Chapter), NSBEMac Adventures aims to introduce STEM skills and demonstrate Black mentors and role models in STEM. This event is an evening in-person event offered to Black Youth in Grades 6-8. It will be held at McMaster University in the brand-new Black Student Success Centre!*
This year’s project will focus on both circuitry and design with students making a Mark Rober inspired glitter bomb package using a MakerUNO, DC motor and pompoms. The aim of the project is to touch on the topics of cybersecurity, the engineering design process, and electrical engineering.
