Come learn about your rights and responsibilities as a tenant with Moe Bsat, J.D., a staff lawyer from the HCLC.

The event will be held at the BSSC on May 19th at 5 p.m.

Mohamad Bsat(he/him) is a half-Filipino, half-Lebanese first-generation Canadian. His family moved here when he was 9 years old from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is a staff lawyer at the Hamilton Community Legal Clinic, who practices within the housing team. Within his role, he is a member of the Anti-Racism and Anti-Oppression steering committee within the clinic; additionally, he is a member of the Anti-racism provincial advisory committee for the Association of Community Legal Clinics of Ontario. He also is a member of the Queer Justice project and has formerly been a board member of the Fast and Female Anti-racism and respect committee.

Mohamad is an avid runner and is the founder of the running crew Air Up There. Mohamad is passionate about creating equity within athletics and has been featured in the recent Nike Canada campaign “You Can’t Stop Us.”
