The BSSC Spirit of Resilience Award is awarded to a Black graduate who overcame an unexpected obstacle on their post-secondary journey. 

This year’s BSSC Spirit of Resilience Award winner is:

Zainab Salami


The BSSC Catalyst for Change Award is awarded to a Black graduate who has embodied the character of a changemaker in thought and action. 

This year’s BSSC Catalyst for Change Award winner is:

Tegwende Seedu


The BSSC EmpowerHer-Black Girl Magic Award is awarded to a Black female identifying graduate who has demonstrated leadership and instilled a meaningful impact on our campus community. 

This year’s BSSC EmpowerHer-Black Girl Magic Award winner is:

Anuoluwa Popoola


The BSSC Kuumba is awarded to a Black graduate who has embodied the spirit of Ubuntu, collaboration, and empowerment through their creative talents.

Inèz Ndzana Siani


The BSSC Your Light Shines Award is awarded to a Black female identifying graduate who has demonstrated leadership and instilled a meaningful impact on our campus community. 

This year’s BSSC Your Light Shines Award winner is:

Toluwalase Dayo-Olaide


The BSSC Legacy Award is awarded to a Black student-athlete who has demonstrated leadership, and community impact and has dedicated themselves to empowering Black students.

This year’s BSSC Legacy Award winner is:

Yaw, Sefa Otchere


The BSSC Ujasiri Award is awarded to a Black international student who has embodied excellence and impact on their peers during their studies. 

This year’s BSSC Ujasiri Award winner is:

Lilian Mayombo


The ACFAM Umoja Award is awarded to a Black student organization who has used their collective impact to enhance the Black student experience. 

This year’s BSSC Umoja Award winner:

The BSSC Alumni Awards are awarded to a Black alumnus who have contributed to our collective success at the Black Student Success Centre and embodied our core values.
