Event Overview

Navigating university can be challenging, but you don’t have to do it alone! The Academic Advisor Check-In is a drop-in event designed to provide Black students with access to academic advisors in a welcoming and supportive space. Whether you need guidance on degree planning, program requirements, minors, graduation checklists, or career pathways, this event is an opportunity to get the answers you need while connecting with advisors who understand your experiences.

Event Purpose

This initiative aims to bridge the gap between students and academic advising resources by providing tailored support in an informal, community-centered setting. Many Black students have expressed the need for more accessible and culturally relevant advising—this event is designed to meet that need by fostering empowerment, academic success, and confidence in your university journey.
