Event Overview

Take your education beyond borders! Join the Student Success Centre and Office for International Affairs for an in-person session on fully funded global opportunities designed to expand your academic and professional horizons.

The BSSC, in collaboration with MACLeads, the Experiential Learning team, and the Office of International Affairs (OIA), invites you to discover international learning opportunities that can transform your academic journey and career path. This orientation session provides essential information about the McMaster Global Learning program and available funding opportunities for students interested in global experiences.

Event Purpose

This session aims to connect Black students with valuable international learning resources and funding opportunities that might otherwise be difficult to navigate. By bringing global education experts directly to the BSSC, we’re creating an accessible pathway for students to explore international experiences that enhance both personal and professional development.

What to Expect:

  • Part I: Explore the Global Experience Program and funding options like the Global Experience Award (GEA), open to all McMaster students.
  • Part II: Gain exclusive insight into funded opportunities in Africa, including the McCall MacBain International Fellowship (for undergraduates) and the International Youth Internship Program (for students and alumni).
