CIBC Hall

The Black Student Success Centre is proud to host an honest conversation about critically advancing supports for Black students with accessibility needs leveraging ancestral and collective wisdom.

In this intimate conversation, Liza Arnason and Nkem Ogbonna will share reflections about studying, living and working with disability and the work they have done to cultivate access for all through education and awareness, collaborative knowledge sharing, research and policy, and youth empowerment anchored in a national Black Accessibility Knowledge Hub.

The ASE Community Foundation for Black Canadians envisions Black people with disabilities fully engaged and thriving within an equitable society that embraces our unique talents and empowers our success.

Their mission is to disrupt disparities at the intersection of Blackness, disability, and gender; driving a cultural shift that supports the collective liberation of our community.

Rooted in the “For us, by us” principle, centering the voices, lived experience, and acts of resiliency through resistance to manifest change.

Time: Feb 7th: 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
